Vacationland

This last trip was up the East Coast to Christmas Cove, Maine - to reunite with old college friends and stay up way too late... it's always hard packing a year's worth of catching up into one weekend but somehow E and I always find away. It was nice to spend time with her other half and to have A there as well, as time goes by and we all live separate lives sometimes its hard to keep up with every little thing everyone's doing - but E and I have perfected the quick catch up and I am so happy for her, but still miss being attached at the hip! We spent one whole day just out on the boat stopping at little islands scattered along the coast - it was a really wonderful break from what has been a very busy summer! The above photo was taken at Pemaquid Lighthouse

Maine itself is absolutely one of the most beautiful places on the planet in the summer. Ocean, forest, lighthouses, lobster - the list goes on and on. From Boston you can even go for a day trip. More photos of our trip after the jump!

My mug at our "See you soon" Breakfast at the local diner - that by the way serves "Hashbrown sticks" it's OK if it's only once a year right?

E's front yard

E's Dad built this boat - isn't it so beautiful? It was the first time I had seen it in the water.

Only at E's would you find a working pinball machine..

This is on one of the little islands, Little Damariscove there is a really cool ghost story about a headless man and his dog haunting the island! Read more here

A view into the only bar/restaurant in the Cove, aptly titled, Coveside

A rowing his way

Lobster time at the local co-op

One last beautiful view! See you next summer!
